The "Festivals"

A biennial celebration of the very best creative talent, handpicked by the best in the business.

This is where the "festival" bit comes in...

NOISE 2008 LAUNCH AT DOWNING ATREET

The NOISE Festivals are not your typical 'festival'.
The premise is  simple, every two years or so, the NOISE charity brings you the NOISE Festival to showcase the best  our online portfolios, as chosen by role-model Curators from the creative industries. We then promote these selected creatives, across the world’s media, offering emerging creatives to exposure they deserve.

NOISE Festival exhibits the very best  creative work that can be presented digitally (on screen or on air) including fashion, film, music, design, architecture, written word, graphic design, fine art, illustration and more...

Why?

All submissions are accepted exclusively online at www.NOISEfestival.com, which means that emerging talent can live anywhere in in the world to take part . We believe that opportunities for success should not be based on location, a first-class degree or 'who you know'. We reckon original, raw talent should be celebrated regardless of any other factors.

The kudos and support for creativity that the NOISE Festivals generate really helps to bump up chances of getting work in the industry: trust us, we’ve seen it happen. Just check out our success stories.

For each festival NOISE invites some of the world’s highest profile creatives to handpick submissions.
These guys are the ones who push the boundaries of their practice, have left a lasting legacy in their industry and leave a 'wow' impression on talent's portfolios.

In previous NOISE festivals curators have included world-renownded architect Zaha Hadid, legendary designer Peter Saville, British artist Stella Vine, Mercury Music Prize Winner Badly Drawn Boy, Turner Prize nominee Photographer Richard Billingham, top UK Designer Tom Dixon, Sir Norman Rosenthal, formerly of the Royal Academy of Arts, and top creative entrepreneur Wayne Hemingway.

Then what happens…

Any work that’s been awarded with a NOISE Curator 'seal of approval' is promoted far and wide across the media during the NOISE Festival showcase.

NOISE works with closely with the media; magazines, television channels and radio stations - to promote

NOISE talent via dedicated features, profiles and programmes. On top of that, www.NOISEfestival.com becomes the main platform to showcase the best of the work submitted.

Additionally, we also do events and exhibitions, and this has previously included Urbis, Liverpool Biennial, Magma, Brick Lane, Alternative Career Fairs, Carnaby Street… at various high-profile venues across the UK. See our Events archive for more info.

Since our first festival in 2006, the NOISE Festival has become a unique filter of excellence into the creative industries and a true reflection on the state of Europe’s creativity.
