Major Major Outcomes We are Major Major and we are a four piece eclectic pop 'n' roll band from the beautiful city of Liverpool. Major Major, unlike many other bands, were brought up in the comfort of their own homes rather than the rough streets of Islington. So how did they meet and why form a band? Here's how it all began...
In the summer of 2003 it was suggested to James and Conor in a sewing lesson that they should start a band called the "Kinky Freaks"...errr... so they did! Conor picked up a guitar, dropped it, then picked it up again, bought a strap for it and learnt to play it and James (who was working in Sexyland, Amsterdam at the time) took what was left...a bass and a coffee revel! After one gig to a horrified audience of British service men the band decided that they needed to change their name. They decided to be called "Right Said Fred" but someone had already taken that name! (Who'd of thunk it?). Eventually they settled on the name The Vagrants. There were also many changes made to the line up of the band including Blindy McOnetooth on the flute, Rusty Pickups on bongos, a Rastafarian keyboard player and even a small bat called Errol as singer for a while. Oooh you are learning so much.
In the autumn of 2003 just before a gig in school they asked Neil to play drums! Neil then wowed them with the fact he could play guitar much better and so Neil's secret agenda had worked...he was in the band! Soooo *takes breath* Liam (who had spent the last years travelling around Asia and growing his hair) was then brought in to play the drums, thus completing the four piece line up so we pick up the story from when they became Major Major!
Since then Major Major have wowed audiences at every music venue in Liverpool, and some of the more obscure venues (The TA Barracks, Borders the bookshop, a few kitchens, a drug den garden party and we even played with the Beatles at Glastonbury *may not be true*). Major Major's live performance is not to be missed and their songs will have you grooving to the cobblers AND the toffee shop so come and see us do a gig and if we like you, we will kiss you and give you a free CD. And it might even have our music on it!!!

Things You Didn't Know: Conor is one of only a handful of people in the world who can set off the security alarms at ASDA with only the power of his mind. This skill is not often used when he is performing brilliant songs with Major Major. Conor is also a magician. Name: Neil Owen- Lead Guitar/ Vocals
Aka: Gneil, Gun, The Smoking Gun, Neilypoos, Griff Logan
Things You Didn't Know: Neil is the best lead guitarist in the world. The reason he is so good on guitar only becomes clear when you submerge your head in water for an hour (Major Major will not take responsibility for anyone stupid enough to try this) Neil can also turn people's eyelids inside out, but they don't normally like it when he does that. This guy is also called Neil Owen. THIS IS ANOTHER NEIL OWEN!!Influences: Oasis, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, The Stone Roses, various Jazz/ Flamenco/ Blues/ Soul/ Motown,Paul Simon and Ricky Martin.
Name: James Rand ...Ba Ba Ba Bass/Vocals
Aka: James Rudd, Jimmy Razz, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Rand Master General, Debbie Magee
Things You Didn't Know: James Rand is the only member of Major Major to play bass guitar on every one of their songs. He can't skateboard very well but he can do a great impersonation of Demi Moore from Ghost - funnily enough he is very scared of ghosts. This guy is also called James Rand JAMES RAND 1 ...and this guy JAMES RAND 2 ...

Name: Liam Dobie- Drums
Aka: Dr Styx, Tha Dobesta, Dobie Surround Sound
Things You Didn't Know: Liam unlike most people has two arms and two legs. He uses these "limbs" to walk and play drums, amongst other things. Liam's drum kit was hand woven by a group of naked tourists who got lost in St. Johns Market and are now imprisoned in Liam's basement. Don't worry about them though, they are very happy to be there as most of them are blind. There is no-one else in the world called Liam Dobie.
