Deal Real Records saw the final of NOISE 2006's Urban Songwriter final showdown sing-off. From over 200 entrants Tony Tagoe of Deal Real records and R1 DJ Ras Kwame selected their for favourites. The four finalists headed down to the iconic record store to perform their tunes in front of a panel of judges that included R1 DJ Nihal. The winners, Rhythm and Grime from Manchester, not only won a state of the art home recording system courtesy of Yamaha but also had the chance to polish their winning track at a renowned London based recording studio.

The NOISE 2006 Wrap Party marked the end of NOISE 2006 October festival month with a fashion and music extravaganza. NOISE musicians wowed the crowds as NOISE fashion and graffiti artists mashed up t-shirts and jeans as part of live catwalk show. The evening was topped off by a DJ set from legendary two tone master and founder of The Specials, Jerry Dammers.

As part of NOISE 2006, NOISE hooked up with Magma bookstore in London and together exhibited a selection of fantastic new design and illustration talent. The launch event saw queues around the block, a band playing on top of a car and very good time had by all.
