I've been drawing since as far as I can remember and if i think hard enough, I can almost certainly confirm my inherent interest in anthropomorphism and creating characters from the things I see around me. I always thought this was just me being weird and until I went to study illustration at the University of Portsmouth, it was in my final major project on creating artificial life that I learned that anthropomorphism was a phenomena which all people experienced in order to classify and understand what we see around us into something familiar- this familiar inherent image is the human face. This fascination has lead me into thinking the way I do and drawing the way I do, and in fact, influences almost every facet of my daily life. Next time you look at the back of a car or the front of a house, see how many faces you can make out of it; it really is fun (or I'm really boring). At the moment, I am working as a freelance designer and Illustrator and constantly trying to satiate my hunger for my expansion of skills in order to be as versatile as I can.

Minijin Toys
As the main part of my final year project, I created a set of 10 toys I housed under the brand 'Minijin" adding the word mini to the Japanese word for human. I wanted to create a limited edition set of toys which were all 100% hand assembled and as eco-friendly as possible, attempting to make as much of the product recyclable as possible. As with the bigger toys, the box set toys also have interchangeable faces and come complete with a zine, paint pen and T-shirt as well as the toy. Each one is marked as an edition 1 and numbered.

Say No to Lactose
I created a series of images with a hidden piece of information about myself in each illustration as an investigation into typography and image. The images are created by warping and conjoining the letters with line to disguise them in order to encrypt the message.
