JavaScript Dissabled or Not Installed

In January 2008, 95% of the computers accessing the w3school.com‡ website had JavaScript enabled. In June 2008 Adobe announce that 81.7% of internet enabled computers had a version of Flash player (9.0.115) capable of playing the flash document embedded in this page.

Based on these statistics and what we wanted to achieve with this section of the website I have decided no to support degraded versions† of the website.

To those who have the option of enabling JavaScript, please enable it. It’s possible to enable JavaScript for single domains with most production web browsers, if security is your concern.

To those users who are using a browser not capable of running JavaScript, chances are you won’t be able to run the Flash anyway. There are many free and open source browsers capable of running both JavaScript and Flash and therefore viewing this page in all its glory. My recommendation would be the open source browser ‘Firefox’
